I Just built this system yesterday, and I have installed and updated everything that I can think of. It has no problem doing everything except for graphics workloads. So I assume it is a graphics driver issue. Ran DDU to clean graphics installations and clean install the latest nvidia drivers. I still get the issue. I have tried progressively older drivers, and I continue to get the same issue. What bugs me the most is that I was watching a movie in full-screen mode on Daums Potplayer (my personal preference over VLC) and I got the same problem which I'll describe: The entire computer freezes, and if audio is playing it makes that looped buzzing sound and stays on that frozen image. it doesn't reset itself or BSOD. It just freezes. after hours of effort in troubleshooting last night I turned the machine off. this morning I booted fine, and launched fallout 4, and played continuously for 15 minutes before it froze up again. And when it freezes I have to either hit the power button or reset button in order to make it stop.

I'd really like to play games, but it has been very frustrating for me to try and solve this on my own.

I have not. currently I have everything in the recommended slots according to the MOBO manual. Also, I have just edited the TDR in the registry and am testing the stability of this setting change. I read online that for some people that can have an effect.

But I will add changing slots and running with a single stick to my list of troubleshooting options.

Do you know how using a single stick can help? I have only done this when a ram module was bad, but in my experience that had caused windows not to boot. I am not familiar with it pertaining to graphical issues.
