Hello, first of all I wanted to congratulate you for the many good advice you give to all of us who are building a PC. In my case I am VERY CLEAR that I DO NOT INTEREST ANYTHING NEITHER TODAY NEVER DO "OC". I wanted to ask you how temperatures go i5 8600k (WITHOUT MAKING "OC") and the i7 8700 since they are the two processors that might interest me. both for games and ordinary tasks. Another question I can use a "NO K" processor on a "Z" plate, I'M AFRAID THAT THE PLATE "Z" TRIES TO "OC" THE PROCESSOR "NO K" and ends up spoiling something (plate or processor or god knows) Thank you beforehand

Solution
Both great temperatures and performance, especially with an aftermarket CPU cooler.

As for the ''Z'' plate,I don't think that you can't use a ''non K'' CPU. I guess everything will operate as intended. No worries.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from joseadolfo.hernandez : "Temperatures i5 8600k and i7 8700"

As I have clear that I WILL NEVER DO "OC" I think that the i5 8600k with 95W at all is warmer muccho.mas than the i7 8700 65w.

What refrigeration would have to put the i5 8600k (always thinking that I will not do OC) would have to go to an expensive refrigeration ??? Liquid or air ?????

That depends on cpu utilization...

What are yours temps and usages??

I have an i7 6800K hexacore CPU which is at stock and i get 43C-55C with my Dark Rock 3 while gaming or encoding videos.

Also retro simulators are complete resource hogs, its like when i use the Dolphin emulator for old game cube games.

Hey, old thread I know, but my i8700 also seems to run pretty hot. I'm doing some image conversions now for flight sim scenery, and it's hitting 90C. All stock settings. Sounds like this is typical unless I get an aftermarket cooler?

Any Intel CPU will automatically "overclock" but it's not a bad thing. It's called Intel Turbo and won't damage your PC. Basically it's easier than to say 8700 3.8-4.6 Ghz in descriptions. It will use as much speed as it needs.

And for the new question, yes I have a cheap 20$ old cooler, and my CPU doesn't go over 60 even under load in games. Just use good thermal paste also and apply the correct quantity, don't put too much either.
