Ok...This could be a couple things but it may not be IDK! My PC is only a few months old and the problem started a few weeks after building it! When I boot it, sometimes it gives a signal and sometimes it doesn't! Sometimes if i reboot again i get a signal and sometimes it can take several reboots! I also hear Windows start up in the background! Im not suspecting my GPU, because if I reset my bios when its giving no signal after 3-4 reboots, it goes right in the bios on the first try every single time! I load optimized defaults and I'm good to go until the next time! And the key is just that, the next time, because I have no clue when that is! Its random! It could go days, or weeks...or just like last week almost every other boot! Also overclocking anything causes it to happen way more frequently like if I enable AMD Turbo Core! I also get the "overclocking failed" error here and there without anything being overclocked as well, thats also random! Bios is current, GPU bios is current, all drivers are up to date, when it boots I have zero issues with anything even gaming for hours on end! Temps are good etc! Maybe I missed some bios settings? Ive also tried HDMI and VGA and the problem persists, Changed monitors as well! Im stumped!

It passes ALL stress tests when it boots everything checks out! Ill try removing the HDD! And not for nothing the cpu was clocked to 4.6ghtz and performed amazing with great temps...And while it was overclocked it booted perfectly for a week then the problem started again!

I can hear window start in the background, also it sometimes takes a min for a signal...way longer than usual!

So it works normally, just loses display. In that case, GPU is first suspect. However, GPU problem could not cause 'overclocking failed' error. So it is most likely some kind of weird problem with motherboard. I would start with re-flashing BIOS (unless the problem was present already before any previous BIOS update, in such case this step makes no sense).

It never loses display once booted...bios both old and current it still did this..some days it boots just fine..others it doesnt..this is why im stumped...Like Im not trying to pull your leg or nothing...its really strange to me as well...Im not thinking GPU as a bios reset immediately corrects the issue for the time being! Maybe a legacy UEFI setting? as mine is set to both? I dunno..

It wouldnt even let me boot if it was only UEFI. Legacy only it booted twice just fine but on the third it gave no signal...this time I just shut it completely down, turning the switch off on my power supply as well and turning it back on and it booted fine!

WHOA! So messing with settings, I changed the EZ Mode setting to "power saving" instead of normal or Asus Optimized and I got 5 consecutive boots! This its never done! Now why would power saving maybe fix the issue?

RAM VOLTAGE!!!!!! I noticed the DRAM led stayed lit during the no signal boots(Dont know how i missed that)! ASUS bios defaults it to 1.5v, and corsair calls for 1.65v...SMFH! The RAM defaults to 1866htz when the bios is reset..but upon rebooting the voltage must not have been enough as for sure Corsair has them listed at 1.65v for higher speeds! Thus the mismatch and no signal, and DRAM LED staying lit

Ok...Problem still persists...I have Corsair Vengeance Pro@2133htz, now I know having the board set to auto it puts the RAM at 1333htz, when my corsair is set to run at 1.65v@2133, the board auto defaults it to 1.5v@1333htz, and Ive read that the underclock can cause stability issues like the one Im having! So I loaded the #0 profile in UEFI/Bios which put the timings and speed to spec, but not the voltage! I Used d.o.c.p for that! problem still occured!! Should I manually set the voltage to 1.65??? I also just pulled all connectors reconnected eveything etc...This RAM issue may also be giving the overclock failed issue because the Ram isnt set to proper speeds!! However...When I checked all my connections, I also swapped out the power cable that came with my PSU just to make sure it wasnt faulty...Doing that fixed another issue I was having, where my gpu was showing PCIE x8 instead of PCIE x16 in gpu-z! With this going on Crimson NEVER since day 1 with this PC displayed the BUS speed! It always said unavailable! Now Crimson displays it and it shows x16 all across the board every time I get it to boot! So Id imagine upping the voltage after setting the profile may work?? Sorry..and yes the memory is in slots 2 and 4

The plot thickens..it isnt my GPU....had access to my sisters rig over thanksgiving, she has an RX480 as well, threw mine in and NO flashing LEDs and it boots just fine, well over 50 tries! Also just for shits and giggles threw it in my dads rig, same result....works great no issues..tried about 10-15 boots...so Id say the GPU is ruled out! So now im down to board or PSU! All voltage looks normal in Hardware monitor, under load everything checks out...again even in default bios settings this still happens! It still could be RAM but ran memtest for 4hrs without an issue!
