Guys, I rly need help in this situation..
I'm building/buying a whole new setup (using now G3250 and GT730 sadly..) and I have a strict budget..
I was thinking of going team RED.. and choosing ryzen 7 1700 for the multi core performance c'uz I'm thinking of streaming (mostly gaming) in a weekly basics (3 times)..

So.. My questions are:
1) Can I use ryzen 7 1700 with the stock cooler and still overclock it?
2) Is now ryzen 7 1700 supported better since his launch?
3) Is ryzen 7 1700 WORTH buying at all?

Most of you, probably will wonder why I chose ryzen, and why I want to use his stock cooler?
- Well, I'm going to buy a 1070 ti or more likely 1080. And going with this CPU (with his cooler, plus it looks nice with the RGB lights *Kappa*) will save me some money from a CPU cooler and allow me to buy one of these epic gpu's I mentioned..

For more details..
I will be playing CS:GO , LOL, GTA V, WoW, PUBG , Fortnite. etc.. And I will like to have good FPS tho..
Will be using 1x24`` 1080p 60hz monitor and 1x17 1280x1024 (for now, later I will buy a 144hz GSync)

I'm not that into tech, thats why i came here.. Heard some nice things about this forum and I hope that i can get some good advices :)

Solution
Because no benefit for gaming and streaming from 1600 to 1700 :) two extra cores but no use are not worth the money imo. Zen2 is on the way, there may be better choices than 1700 and 1600 suffices for now.

1| Stock cooler+overclock, minimal, I'd say. Unless you have some very noisy high performance fans that would help with case internal airflow.

2| After the AGESA BIOS updates, you can drop in DDR4-3200MHz rams without any issues but that depends on the board you're using. Some boards are picky how you get to 3200MHz.

3| You should be okay but we'll need to know your full proposed system specs and ofc how much you intend to spend on the system as well as where you're residing. Best follow through this thread and update this thread accordingly.

Have a S340 for a case atm.. I'm from Bulgaria so the price here is a bit higher .. I can go with 1070 and take a SSD too?

Off-topic: Is AMD still above intel's cpu?

With stock cooler, you don't need x370, good b350 is enough since you can not overclock extremely to 4.0 or so. Do you have the website that you pick those parts?

Depends on your usage and budget, I7-8700k will win in all kinds of tasks but Ryzen is better bang for the money. Unless you do heavy rendering stuff, only Ryzen 1600 is needed for gaming and streaming as 1700 will not show diff in those tasks. Total budget of the whole build? And you know GTX1080 is overkill for 1080p 60Hz, what monitors do you have?

The currency that I'm using is LEV - Bulgarian :)
Uhm, why did u go with the 1600 instead of the 1700 ? Btw I have a S340 collecting dust at the moment, so I can use it instead of the Focus G
