Here’s my computer:

Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700 @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 16GB Dual-Channel Unknown
Motherboard: Dell Inc.
Graphics Card: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 (Dell)
Storage: 931GB Western Digital (SATA)
Optical Drives: TSSTcorp DVD+-RW SH-216DB
Audio: NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)

I was wondering if a GTX 1050 ti would be compatible with my computer. Thanks in advance!

Solution

1050 Ti doesn't have any extra power requirements I don't think. My 1050 Ti SC doesn't require supplementary power.

At any rate OP, Dell computers come with the bare minimum to run the hardware already inside it. You'd have to confirm what the PSU is (total wattage as well as +12V rail wattage) long before you decide to buy the GPU.

The 1050 Ti uses 75W, if it's a model that does not require a 6 pin connector. The GT 730 uses 25W-50W depending on the model. So, unless that Dell has a motherboard that supplies a non standard amount of power through the pci-express slot, and some do, then the 1050 Ti should work fine. Generally Dell won't sell you a computer with a discrete videocard unless the power supply is adequate, ie a 300W or similar.
