I recently built my own custom PC. I had the help of my experienced cousin and PC part picker. when I booted my PC everything turned on and was running good, except for the most important part, my GPU. I have tried everything to make my mobo read my GPU, but nothing has worked. I even tried putting my GPU in another computer to see if it worked, it did. I know my GPU works so I figured it was my mobo. I got a new mobo and still had the same problem. I've spent so many hours trying to get this to work, please help.

mobo: H110M-PRO-VD-PLUS
GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070
CPU: Intel Core i5
PSU: Corsair RM550X
OS: Windows 10 x64

Silly question but you are plugging your monitor into the GPU correct?

Also you can try and go into you BIOS and disable integrated graphics and make sure PCIe is the primary.

Also given you have tried another computer and a new mobo in your build, perhaps its the PSU or cable that is faulty in yours.

Let me see if I understand. You can get the computer to work with the integrated motherboard graphics but the motherboard will not detect that 1070?

Your power supply has the 6+2 pin connectors right? Your videocard requires an 8 pin connector. So when you install it in your computer you need to connect the 6 pin AND the extra 2 pin connector that goes with it.

When I plug my monitor into my GPU I don't get a signal, there's nothing in the bios about onboard graphics or the PCIe or GPU, and I have tried updating bios. Every thing is plugged in properly, the GPU even has lights on and the fans spinning
