Hello all,
I managed to build my first PC. Here's the configuration:

  • Asus Rog Strix X370-f gaming
    Ryzen 1700X
    MSI GTX 1080 Ti OC
32 GB Gskill RAM 3200 Mhz
    Corsair H115i liquid cooling
    ThermalTake View 31 Case
    EVGA 750 GQ
I know this question has been asked several times before but bear with me this time. It took me a while to figure out the right way to connect the H115i but not sure if its right. I chose to use the corsair link to control the fan speed instead of bios. Here's what I did--- Connected the 3-pin pump power cable to the CPU_fan header, connected the the fans to the Y splitter coming from pump, connected the link cable to the usb 2.0 header and finally connected the SATA power cable to the PSU. Unfortunately, while installing one of the radiator fans, I broke one of its blades. Right now, I have one radiator fan in push configuration at the top and 3 case fans on the front and back (push-pull configuration). Now, the issue is the CPU temperature which is constantly around 74 degree Celsius without any load. Is it too high even for idle considering the 20 degrees offset for ryzen X processors? I don't know how much of an influence a second radiator fan would have. Thanks.

Solution
The second radiator fan will make a lot of difference especially considering that the fans are what help dissipate the heat away from the fins on the radiator. FYI, if you're relying on the fans that come bundled with the Thermaltake View 31 Case, then please manage to buy a pair of fans that are meant for radiator use like the Bitfenix Spectre Pro's.
