Router --> PC straight or crossover LAN cable??

Solution
straight. crossover. it shouldn't matter. let me explain.
the router port SHOULD be auto-sensing and able to detect the cable type and configure the port.
Assuming the router is stupid and you want to be sure it will work, a normal straight ethernet cable is what you want.
crossover is for direct PC to PC connections with no devices in the middle. the transmit and send wires are crossed. hence the cross-over cable.
