Here’s the deal I have a dedicated home theater room with a projector and 125” screen. I’m upgrading my projector to 4K by the end of the year.
I want 4K gaming and VR ready. I like the console sized cases. So far I’ve found the Fractal Design Case FD-CA-NODE-202 and looking through a few Silverstone cases.
From my research I see the gtx 1080ti is only option for 4K 60fps.

I don’t want to spend 2k I’m leaning more towards 1500k max I have a 4TB external HD so I don’t care about a large internal HD. I am on my phone at work so I will have to update this later to add the parts I am not sure if I have to go with an i7 or if I can stick with a i5 I want to see if I can get the parts and buy hem this Black Friday.

I will only be gaming and watching movies on this pc thanks

Thanks for this I will look it over when I get home it’s going to be easier to look through and have tabs open to search for cheapest prices and Black Friday deals. I might stick with i5 I like to game but as long as I can get 4K I’m fine I do more movie watching than gaming but when I do I like it to look great.

That case is still too big to be considered "console size". I would go for a Fractal Node 202 or Silverstone Raven RVZ02B. Something like this:

Don't go with a built-in PSU and there's much better SSDs that you can get.

I know there's a couple of mini 1080s and 1070TIs out there, check out the offerings from Zotac and Gigabyte.

Alienware X51 series. A gaming desktop with console size and purple light though don't expect to be as powerful as full size desktop.

The poster want the console size gaming pc. I think its quite hard to built yourself with this kind of specific requirement. AT Dell do some R&D to build this special PC.

Show me one PC they build at Dell that has this kind of form factor. The rig I suggested in this thread is exactly what the OP wants - and it easily fits the console sized form factor.

That Alienware X51 system is still too big to be considered "console size". Right now you can't get much smaller than the Fractal Design Node 202.

First off watch the language. Second, on a build like this RAM clearance doesn't really matter if you're using a top-down cooler. A case like the Node should be able to accommodate RAM of any height. Using a Noctua NH-L9i is not the same with that kind of scenario as using a Hyper 212 Evo or Cryorig R5 is.
