Hello everyone.

My pc is quite old and outdated now. I have been serving in the military and i just finished my service. I'd like to start upgrading my pc but i'll be buying 1 or 2 parts monthly due to budget and the high prices of electronic parts in my country ( EGYPT )

My current specs are :

Cpu : Intel G2020 @ 2.90Ghz
MB : Gigabyte P61-D3
Gpu : ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB DDR5
Memory : 4GB of ram
Storage : 1TB western digital HDD blue
PSU : i don't remember the name of the brand but it was 300w i think.

I'm planning to buy 500w psu first and SSD as second priority .. i don't know which i should upgrade first after that.

My main use of the pc is gaming.

First I said i5 then ryzen 3 because I didn't know how much do you want to spend. You can go for i5 8400 + motherboard and use the integrated graphics which will be much better than your current GPU. After, get a GTX1060. Ryzen doesn't have integrated graphics.

Hmm, maybe you can upgrade to i5 + motherboard. Use the integrated graphics from processor until you buy something like a GTX 1060. Is that ok or too expensive? Or go for a ryzen 3 + motherboard and use your current GPU until you buy a new one.

Well, by the end of nov i probably can afford buying a motherboard + ryzen 5 1500x or 1600 and keep my GPU for now for soft gaming .. but is it advisable to buy a motherboard and a cpu before upgrading the GPU first?

I know about bottleneck and i know that there will be one, but isn't there gonna be a bottleneck even when i upgrade my GPU to 1060 and keep my G2020 processor? ( which is too weak for that gpu ) .. so since there will be a bottleneck anyway i'll have to choose which to upgrade first .. GPU or MB + processor ..

Since i don't wanna upgrade to ryzen 3 then buy a ryzen 5 when i get gtx 1060
