I’m getting a PC soon, but I don’t have a monitor at the minute. I’ve been looking at a monitor which is only 60 hertz but I’ve been told that I need a 144 hertz one. What do I do?

Solution
No one needs a 144hz one unless they are a competitive gamer.

Focus on a quality monitor. One with out PWM. Low eye-strain. A size and resolution you like. Then if you can afford the same monitor with a higher re-fresh rate, consider if that is worth it to you. But to the majority of folks 60hz is ok.

The one I’ve been looking at is this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-RL2455-Lag-free-Technology-eQualizer/dp/B01H07FVOK

Is that any good?

I haven't seen that one in person. I read it has dull colors from it's so-so TN panel. If your only goal is game play, it will do fine.
