I have an optiplex 3020 computer and it's a pretty small tower so I'm going to assume it's a mini... it's smaller than my other computer and that computer is a small form factor. This computer has a 255 watt psu and it looks like a long, horizontal block, so I'm worried it's not standardized. I have intel hd 4400 graphics, which is ok for a few games, but I want to upgrade.

So I have
-8gb of ram
-64-bit windows 7
-i3-4610 3.6ghz
-255 watt PSu
-pci express slot

I want a better video card, but I'm not sure if a 255 watt PSU will be enough. Is there a video card I can get that is a small form factor card and will run with my PC? I need to be absolutely sure that it'll work, I've had to return too many things back to amazon recently.

The GT 1030, I am very confident it would work due to its low wattage. I can't confirm it for you exactly but i have tested it in a couple optiplex PC's just to check and i got it successfully working on an optiplex with an i3 2100 and an...

gt 1030 will work for sure, I have it running on a 65w power brick pc. The RX 550 should work as my brother has it running on an optiplex 3010 but its a mATX with 300w psu although he is running an i5 so more power. Like lumineZ said, this will only give a slight bump in graphics performance. I only got the gt 1030 cuz i found it for sale used for $40. My bro bought the rx 550 for over $100 i believe and his performance is only barely faster than mine.
