Title basically describes it - I upped the FSB on my motherboard to 220, vs. stock 200, so my CPU should be clocked at 4.2GhZ right now (220 FSB x 20 multiplier) but in HWM, my clock speed is 1500MhZ when it's being used 100% by Prime95??? I always felt like my CPU wasn't as fast as it was supposed to be, but if this is the case, then my CPU is operating at less than half of what it should be. This thing should be at 4200MhZ right now, and it's at 1500. Please advise!
Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming
Edit: I checked, and for some reason on my motherboard BIOS, my voltage is set to .912....the default voltage being 1.325???
I'm wondering if for some reason my motherboard is throttling my CPU???
Double edit: My CPU multiplier is at 7 right now, vs. 20, where it should be at. I don't know why this is the case, but I would really like to be able to actually use more than 1500MhZ of my 4000+MhZ processor. So frustrating.
