Hi everyone!

This is my second post here on TH. I'm looking for some insight and guidance on my new build. This is the last build that I did, https://pcpartpicker.com/user/slightlybiased/saved/X27vK8 I ended up selling it to afford going to school. I'm looking to do a new build and I need a machine for video editing. I will be editing at 4K down to 1080p. I have a basic build list that I'm wondering will work. Is this my most cost effective option? I'm looking for something that is great for video editing mostly on Premiere. I'm also looking for a machine that game handle gaming at 1440p at 144hz. If you all don't mind, take a look at my new build and let me know what you think. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/slightlybiased/saved/qG2WXL

One more thing, I'd rather not OC my CPU. I know that seems like a waste of money to many of you, but I've just had bad experiences in the past with finding a good stable OC. I might in the future if I get bored, but for now, I'm just looking for some good performance.

Here's another excel list with all of the best prices for the parts I found.

CASE Phanteks Enthoo Evolv $180
PSU EVGA SuperNova 750 T2 $160
CPU RYZEN 7 1800x 3.6 Ghz $320
MOBO ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero AM4 AMD X370 $255
RAM HyperX Fury 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2400MHz $215
AIO H115i Corsair Water Cooler $110
GPU GTX ASUS 1080 $450
SSD M.2 960 SAMSUNG PRO 512gb $300
SSD SATA SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 500GB SATA $160
HHD Seagate FireCuda Gaming SSHD 2TB 7200 RPM  $100
MONITOR LG 34UM60-P 34-Inch IPS WFHD (2560 x 1080) $220
KEYBOARD Corsair Gaming K70 RGB $85
MOUSE Razer Naga Chroma RGB $50

Let me know what you all think! I might opt for a 1080 ti also!

Thank you so much for the help!

For 4k editing you going to need 32gb of memory depending on the size of the file I would also use a SSD for a scratch drive.
That 2tb hybrid drive is going to do nothing for you just get a regular 2TB drive.
You could also save some on the powe supply a G2 model 650 watt would be plenty.

I thought I'd get one M.2 and one Sata. It ends up being about $150 cheaper, but something to think about for sure. I am looking for more RAM for a better smoother experience when editing Video, which is my main concern. RAM wouldn't make much of a difference then?

As Zerk2012 says, 32gb of memory will make a difference depending on the size of the video file [is it a 2hr movie or a 3min commercial]. Remember you can always buy 2 x 8GB sticks for now, and buy 2 more in a month, if you decide you need it.
