Hey! I'm planning of buying ''GEFORCE GTX 1060 GT OC DUAL FAN 6144MB'' and I was wondering if everything would work fine if I install it to my pc
Specs:
CPU: AMD A10-7700K 4Core
GPU: Geforce GT 730 is what I have now
PSU: Corsair CX 600
Motherboard: GA-F2A68HM-HD2
8gb ram
1 terabyte
Thanks! :)

No, not at all - the fact a 1060 is likely "overpowered" compared to the balance of the hardware isn't a problem - other than the fact you won't utilize it to 100% of it's ability right now.

If anything, being under less stress - it'll run a bit cooler than it would when maxed out.

IF you're looking to upgrade though, I'd add a new PSU to the list of components you want to get.
As was mentioned, the older CX600 wasn;'t a great PSU - and it's longevity is questionable. Has sufficient protection that it shouldn't 'kill' any other component if it fails, but it still sucks if you have a PSU fail.

What version of that PSU is it? The CXM or newer 2017 CX models are good but the older ones are poor quality. Also the CPU will hold the GTX 1060 6gb back in a games, I'd actually recommend saving some money and going with the GTX 1050 ti as it will better pair with that CPU.

"work", yes - it shouldn't be a problem.

The A10 chips main benefit is the onboard GPU though. When you add a discreet GPU, you lose a lot of the "advantage" of an A10 and are simply left with a (relatively) underpowered CPU.

A 6GB 1060 is probably a little stronger a GPU than I would pair with an A10, personally.
I wouldn't look to go higher than a 1050TI. Still a huge, huge step up from the GT730 you have right now.

It's going to be an older, "green label" CX unit. The refresh of the CX lineup didn't include a 600W unit (just 450, 550, 650, 750 AFAIK)

Agreed, the older unit isn't great quality - but should be more than capable of powering this rig.

It's this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CP-9020048-UK-Builder-Bronze-Supply-Black/dp/B009RMP44O and what do you mean it will hold back in games?

Is there a huge difference between 1050ti and 1060 in gaming?

What WildCard is referring to is commonly known as a "bottleneck", where on component maxes out at 100% utilization (in this case, the CPU), long before another component can fully reach it's potential (in this case, the GPU).

Generally speaking, yes. The 1060 6GB can be up to 50-60% "faster" in relative performance.

BUT, when paired with a CPU like the A10, you'll never see that much of a difference at all. The A10 is going to hold back the 1060, for sure..... potentially even the 1050TI - to the point that your actual FPS in games are going to be very similar between the two cards, with the 1050TI costing about $100 less.

I get what your're saying now, but if I do get the 1060 and use it for some time will anything happen to the pc? Like over heating or something along those lines , because I was planning to buy this gpu and then a new cpu
