I have an i7 7700k and it is supposed to handle 2400mhz of RAM at max. However, I have a ram of 2666mhz. Question is, what does this mean? The more the mhz on the ram, the more the fps in-game? Someone please explain me
Its not the CPU that limits the speed, its the motherboard. Honestly the performance gain in games for RAM speed is pretty pointless so dont worry about it.
What motherboard do you have? Or whats the make and model of your computer?

My motherboard is a Gigabyte Aorus Z270X Gaming 5, it accepts pretty decent DDR4 4133+(OC) RAMs. But I am concerned about the relationship between the RAM and the CPU, as the CPU can "only" handle 2400 mhz. Does this affect performance?
