Which would be better for games, newer games at that, 1050TI or 1060 3GB?
Thanks
Don't get either. Get the 1060 6gb, it's not that much more and it is quite a bit more future proof in my opinion.
But the price jump is significant There are some VRAM heavy game but most will run fine with 3gb. If he has the money then yeah get the 6GB 1060, but considering he was asking between the 1050ti and 1060 then chances are its outside his budget, and at that point the 1060 is a better card.
Performance wise youll see more gaing from the 1060 and 3GB of VRAM then the 1050ti with its 6GB.
I assume you are doing 1080P 60HZ gaming.
1050ti has 4gbs, but agree with you on your main point.
If the OP can stretch to the 6gb verions of the 1060 that would be better.
Right now games like BF1 use about 3.1gbs on 1080p Ultra. So the 3gb vram will be a limiting factor for new AAA games.
the Pallit has much lower stock clocks. But still it's £50 pounds cheaper than the more recognized brands like richiestang_78 pointed out. EVGA are a good brand. Both those linked are decent GPU's.
this is my one. I've gone with white as it fits with my case and mobo. It's quiet, cool (never goes above 65c even playing BF1 at full pelt) and can handle pretty much everything at 1080p Ultra settings. It has higher factory OC too than most, except for the triple fan solutions, which are normally the Superclocked versions.
