I was just looking around some specs and notes on my computer configuration in the display adapter and saw it says "Total Available Graphics Memory 6882 MB" and I thought that can't be right, also it says "Dedicated Video Memory 3072".. so I tried to find some more information I went to Dxdiag and saw it says there "approx Total Memory 4095mb" So I'm really puzzled, I know some of these readings can be some what.. adrift but it can't be that far off right ? So I hope someone could tell me what is going on, my entire spec is

I73930k
win7
16GB DDR3
GTX1080TI

That's the available VRAM on the card that can be used. I don't understand what your fear here is. Run some games and if they're not performing properly, then go from there. As it stands, I'm not aware of any game that'll utilize all the VRAM on a 1080Ti.

Dxdiag shows my 980Ti with only 4GB. Yet when I game MSI Afterburner shows upwards of 6GB being used in some games - take Shadow of Mordor for example - it can use up to all 6GB of VRAM with the game maxed out and running at a 5760x1080 resolution.

Your only concern should be is if you're not getting proper performance out of your system. I rely on GPUZ to show correct information and if by some reason it doesn't, I could post my issue on techpowerup.com and W1zzard will look into when he can and make any changes/correction if needed or he'll explain why the program does what it does and why there is no problem.

Hey Thanks Neatfeatguy for your Reply, My concern is more about the future, right now I'm only running 1080p.. I know it's stupid to be running a 1080ti at that Res.. but I'm waiting to get a 4k Screen pretty soon, and I want to see if I'll get into any problems when I finally upgrade to 4k, I'm getting no issues with any games at 1080p, but I'm just wondering if I have a issue or not at the moment, so I can fix it now before I get the length and get myself a 4k Monitor.
