So right now i have an i3-2120 3,3gHz, a 2gb 750ti, 8gb of DDR3 @ 1600mHz ram with a 2tb hard drive on a 900p/75Hz monitor.
I have around $200 and i'm looking for possible upgrades. I have been thinking of getting a used i5-2500 and a 1050, but i want to hear other opinions.
To be more specific, i usually play both CPU and GPU demanding titles like GTA V, Bf4, Black ops 3, Project Cars, etc. but also non-demanding shooters like Overwatch, Black squad and occasionally CSGO in which i'd love higher FPS.
I'm not really interested in either SSDs or a new monitor right now as i feel either would take all of my budget without any real gain.

Solution
The 1050 is decent, but I was referring to the 750. i7-2600 CPU's regularly show up as BIN's on ebay for around $100 now. i5-3570's usually go for around $60 - $80 now also.

Again, I'm playing at 900p. I don't think anything like an i7 or a 1060 will see a lot of use. By the way, the 750 is in no way a "terrible" gpu.

apparently i have F4 and it supports the 3570. Probably going for it as it's about the same price as the 2500 but better performance wise.
So i5 3570+1050 is a good setup? The 1050 seems to be a bit worse than the 1050 ti but still way better than my 750ti.
Thanks again man

I checked and there's no bios update required. About the gpu i'm unsure. The rx560 looks a bit better on vulkan and some dx12 games but the 1050 has better results on the games i currently play.
The rx560 is also slightly more expensive than the 1050

Yeah the 1050 is the faster card, I was just looking at the 4gb of vram that the rx 560 I linked had and it would age better than the 2gb 1050 but it should do well anyways. Also you might want to look at used gtx 960s because they are about the same performance as the 1050ti but sometimes you can get them for about $100.

might check out the 960.
don't really need that extra vram as i'm currently playing 900p 75hz and not planning to switch to 1080p because doing so without losing the higher refresh rate would cost quite a lot for my budget.
