My plan for this PC build is for mainly gaming/streaming. Some video editing here and there as well.
I also want my PC to be able to handle gaming at 1080p 144hz or 240hz OR 1440p 144hz or 240hz WHILE streaming ofcourse. It would be nice if I can run most of games in their highest settings since I've always been playing most of my games in their lowest settings.
My budget for this PC at the moment is $2500 and yes I live in the US.
And at the moment, I am debating if I should get the 1800x or 8700k since the 1800x is for 330 at microcenter and 8700k is at 415.

Whether or not someone can notice min fps of 60 fps vs. 90 fps in some of the latest games on a 60 Hz refresh monitor is subject to debate...

But, most would guess or even wager that it will most assuredly be the 8700K with the potential to deliver the highest framerates currently, bar none...

And if desiring 1080P gaming at 100 Hz/144 Hz refresh, the 8700K is most assuredly the winner here, hands down!

Build looks good, either one will do what you need, but the intel will be slightly faster overall for gaming and the amd will be more cost efficient. The real question is if you want to use software for streaming or use some of that budget for a high quality capture card. The hardware capturing will lessen the load for your PC and give you overall better performance, and when streaming on twitch I think 1080p/60hz is the most you can stream anyways, or rather even if you could no one would watch the stream at source if it were higher due to insane internet requirements. Do some asking about streaming specifically or find a high profile streamer who knows their stuff and ask them, as far as your hardware and budget goes, you basically cant fail with the best money can buy.

Both should work just fine for what you need. If money is the difference here and stretching to get the 8700k is too much, the 1800X is fine.

I would personally look towards the 8700k just because it has a bit better single core performance and with physical cores and tends to be better when gaming on 1080p. Once you start gaming on 4K the difference between the two CPUs shrinks.

Thanks for the feedback on the build! If I get the 8700k, I might wait for Asus to see if they release a Maximus z370 Formula X.

yea im getting alot of people saying that they would prefer the 8700k. So, I'm just going to have to take my time to see which one I would really need. Because I don't think I'd be streaming 24/7. More of occasional streaming so an 8700k would be fine i think.

Yea I don't think I'll plan on playing on 4k resolution. I think its too expensive at the moment lol So it seems that the 8700k might fit my needs! Thanks.

Alright! I'm going to have to do a bit of research on bench marks for these 2 CPUs. Thanks!
