Cant get my pc to turn on

Hi i just resently bought new pc parts for my pc and cant seem to get it to turn on for more than 3 seconds. I have tried lots of diffrent things but the only time i had any luck was when i started the pc with the stock intel cpu cooler not completely attached to the motherboard but, as soon as i fully atached the cooler, the pc shut itself off again. It seems to me like there is some kind of shortage when all 4 clipps of the cpu cooler are attached but i cant seem to find where this shortage is directly coming from. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? if you need more information just ask.

Can you be more descriptive? Does it turn itself off? Does it make any abnormal noise? Do the fans turn on? Do any LEDs turn on? Thanks

Yes it turns itself off and there are no strange noises. All the fans turn on for a few seconds but there is no display on the screen. All the motherboard LEDs turn on. Thanks

Hmm. Do you have the specs of the full build? It's possibly a compatibility issue. Try running the pc at a bare minimum, with only necessary components. It's hard to tell what the problem is. If there are support lines for your motherboard and/or any other components, try calling them and describe the issue. Make sure you have some paper blank paper and pen in case they instruct you to try something that will require some time. Also, have a list of what is in your build, with the brand and model number.

Turns out my 4th generation intel i7 wasn't compatible with my new motherboard. thank for the replies!
