No need for aftermarket cooler+besides the Arctic cooler you picked out isn't a good one. I'd suggest something like a Cryorig H7 cooler. Pick up DDR4-3200MHz rams. Here's why.

On second thoughts, we could probably list you a better system provided we knew of your budget, location and your intended site for purchase+your intended usage scenario.

If you're gaming, an i5-8400 would be a better choice for a CPU($199)... only problem is the new 8th gen Intel CPU's are sold out at most places due to popularity(very good performance). Other then that, the one you picked is also a good choice.

The WD Black(aka Scorpio) drives were the ones I always used myself. These days though I'll use an SSD as my Windows drive & have lately been using those 'FireCuda' drives as my storage/game install drives.

If your major usage is only gaming, get this coffee lake I5 build:

The motherboard I'm planning to get states (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813157774) that it would need to be overclocked to work with 2666+. I'm not to familiar with overclocking, how and what would I overclock to make this compatible?

The QVL is https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/Fatal1ty%20X370%20Gaming%20X/index.us.asp#Memory

I found three options of 2 x 8 modules of ram at 3200 mhz at reasonable prices.
Will the ram work (at a downgraded speed) before I set the XMP?
And while at the subject of overclocking, how should I go about overclocking my cpu and gpu?
