Help on RAM Choice or advice

Hi Everyone,

I am in need of some help. I was thinking of getting this ram because of the 2400 mhz CL of 10 but wasnt sure if I would get better performance in gaming trying to get a higher Frequency but sacrifice the lower timings of CL?? Any suggestions? The 2400 mhz and the 10CL seems great but I just want to know if it is a good choice or should look at something different.

get the speed you need get the lowest timing in that class.
as the speed increases the timings MUST also increase. the timings are measured in clock cycles, the more cycles per second the higher the timings, because instead of 10 times it can now happen 15 with the higher frequencies.
get the lowest timings available in each speed. you cannot compare latencies of DDR with the latencies of DDR4, DDR4 is higher because the speeds are higher.

do not hobble the 7700k with standard speed 2400 RAM. aim for 3000 as a minimum IMHO. the timings on faster RAM will be higher because they MUST its like a law.

Do you have a recommendation around the same price range for frequency 3000 ram?

$230 for only 16GB's of RAM? What are you crazy? $230 can get you 32-64GB's of RAM with 15 timings and that. Paying that much money for only 2400MHz RAM with low timings is not a good idea at all in my opinion.

$280 for the cheapest 32GB and they jump from there
the cheapest 64GB is over $600 and that is 2133
if you know where to score DDR4 2400 32GB for $115 or 64GB for $230 please share with the rest of us
