So I have built 3 of my own gaming computers over the years. The current one I have is great except that my power supply seems to be making a humming noise. It use to not be that loud but now I can really hear it. Not sure what it is but either way I am going to get a new one. Currently the one I have is a corsair cx750m. Just wanted to know if it was possible to get a new modular psu and just swap the actual power supply so I wouldn't have to go through unplugging and plugging things back in with new cables. Was thinking about just getting the Corsair RM750x which maybe would make this possible. Does anyone know if it is possible? Thanks.
Can I replace power supply without replacing cables?

Unfortunately that's hard to answer with modular PSUs as I've read they aren't really standardized. You may be fine since your going to get another Corsair, but I would just buy it and find out.

YOU NEED TO USE the ones that came with the RMx , they are different.
No you can't they aren't the same , the RMx uses Type 4 cables and the CX750M I believe uses Type 3.
