High Ping & Low MBPS When Doing Anything

I currently have Spectrum (Time Warner Cable) internet and as of about a week-and-a-half ago it has dramatically slowed down. In every game I play I receive 90-800 ping and am getting about 7 MBPS download whereas I used to get 45 MBPS before the issue. I have 2 other computers on my network that are usually gaming / streaming but have been doing it in the past and I have been fine. I am using an Ethernet connection through an Apple AirPort Extreme 5th gen Wi-Fi extender on my Windows 10 PC. Even the PC connected directly through the router via Ethernet is receiving 10 MBPS and it used to get 300 MBPS. I have attempted everything I can think of to solve the issue and nothing has worked. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

I say it is likely just your ISP. I have comcast and they aren't any better so you are not the only one. One thing that I think could be the issue is that the Ethernet receiver could be overheating as I have a friend that had a similar network setup you did and that was what was causing such high ping and stuff.

I do have a lamp positioned on top of the device. I'll take it off and let you know what happens. Thanks for the responce

Sure thing. If it is an issue I would invest in something like this if you can. I believe my friend uses something similar if not this exact one. They aren't too expensive. I am interested to hear if that did solve your issue. Good luck!

Well doing that worked! I am now at my average 45 MBPS download speed and normal ping. Thanks!
