First off, I hope I'm in the right spot on asking this question.
I run speedtests pretty frequently, just to check it, using speedtest.net. I'm just now noticing that if I'm getting slow speeds and I change where it "pings", I think is the term, that I might get a better speed from there. I tested my speeds out of a major city 30 miles away and got 5Mbps then tested from a major city 250 Miles away and got 60Mbps. How do you get a true reading on your internet speed?
