So I just recently built a PC and as I was finishing up I was installing my Seagate 2TB HDD to my motherboard but when everything was turned on the BIOS wouldn't recognize it no matter what I tried. I switched the cables with the ssd and all, but still the BIOS still would not recognize it. the hdd works fine because whenever i turn it on i hear the parts moving and all it's just that the motherboard won't detect it. what should I do?

P.S my motherboard is an asrock ab350m pro4

Sounds indicates it spins up. When system off Unplug HDD power and data cable and plug them in again and boot up and see if drive spins up and is detected or not.

Can you touch is when system is on, if it's a vibrating a little it means it's spinning.

Do you have OS installed on the SSD? If yes what about the OS environment? The HDD not detected there either?

Sometimes you have to initialize HDDs to make them detectable. Although it should show up in BIOS. Is the SATA controller enabled in BIOS? Have you checked that?

Have you tried connecting another SATA power cable to the HDD and also plug it into another SATA port on the motherboard?
