Specs:
Intel core i7 7700k
corsair h100i v2
asus z270e
corsair lpx 8gb x 1 2400mhz ddr4 ram
corsair rm750x
samsung 850 evo 250gb ssd
wd blue 4tb
NO GPU installed at the moment
OS = Windows 10

I've been having problems with my PC for weeks now. I've been having these BSODs everytime I turn my pc on but they would all be gone once my pc has restarted. Everything was fine the very first time I turned it on after I assembled it. I was thinking maybe it was the auto OC feature of the motherboard that was causing the issue, as maybe it couldn't handle the OC but I have since reverted it back to default settings. Everytime I try to install the drivers, the BSODs would come almost always even when I'm already in Windows. I've already done the clean installation of Windows 10 twice and the problem is still there. I even tried installing on my hdd, but the BSODs would still persist. One thing that kind of solved the BSOD problems in Windows was disabling fast startup on control panel and disabling fast boot in bios. The only BSOD problems I have now are during cold boot or when I power on the PC.
These are the different errors that would show on the BSOD:
1. Page fault in nonpaged area
2. Memory management
3. kernel security check fail
4. critical process died
I've also considered it might be the ram, but I tried running the memory diagnostic tool and there were no errors.

Can someone help me with this problem? Is it any hardware issue?,hopefully it would only be limited to either the ram or one of the drives. And I hope there is no Mobo, CPU, or psu issue.

Solution
login problems on the latest update of win 10 are a thing now.... I have had it myself. Mine acts really odd if I unplug PC at some stage before restarting it, have to hit ctrl alt del to get the login screen to behave.

You can't blame GPU for black screen, since you don't have one. Not being able to install drivers is likely part of problem.

I wouldn't try to use PC until you get ram, and can make it stable enough to install the right drivers as well.

What drivers cause the BSOD?

since fast startup is off, the bsod not being caused by drivers that don't like that mode.. Fast boot just means the BIOS ignores all other USB devices at boot except mouse/keyboard. Can probably turn it back on.

I would run the free version of memtest86 on your ram, one stick at a time. Program creates a bootable USB so no need for windows. Check 1 stick at a time, anything more than 0 errors are too many. If you get any errors, remove/replace the stick

Since i assume this is a new install, can you go to C:\windows, change the view to show hidden files and folders, and copy MEMORY.dmp to documents. If its fairly small, upload the copy from documents to a file sharing web site and share a link here, I will get someone to look at errors..

Ok..i am currently doing the memtest. So far no errors. Here is another thing that might give some info..my ram is supposed to be 16gb 2x8gb,unfortunately one of the sticks are defective which forces me to use 1stick only..do you think that could be a factor?,seeing as theyre configured to be installed together?

I havent even installed any drivers on the pc at the moment. After the installation of windows 10, my pc doesnt have an optical drive so i havent started installing drivers from the cd that came with the mobo. The drivers i installed from the asus website were the ones that were probably conflicting with windows 10. I'm considering either display or audio driver..i havent gotten the chance to install chipset drivers yet as well

I have already done 1 pass of memtest and currently on the second pass with no errors at the moment. Would this be enough testing?. So i can send the memory.dmp

Seems I've found some sort of workaround to avoid the BSOD.
I may have to enter BIOS upon first turning it on and then exit it which forces the pc to restart. Upon restart, no more BSOD issues. It's really limited to when you FIRST turn it on.

Hi, I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://pste.eu/p/x2az.html

3 of the 10 dump files were corrupt. The memory.dmp had multiple errors which I mostly edited out. I was still able to obtain some useful information from them.

So what do you think is the problem?..is it a hardware issue?, Or a software issue?..
It's really frustrating to keep encountering these problems and not know the root cause

Do you have the latest BIOS? There is an updated dated 9th Nov 2017 - https://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-Z270E-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/
BIOS updates can improve memory compatability

Did you build PC? Might need to check the pins under the CPU and make sure non are bent

Did you run the intel processor diagnostic tool?

might need you to run memtest again for a longer time. 8 passes or so, make sure its not the stick.

Drivers present don't point at anything obvious, and you haven't been able to install any so it makes me lean towards a hardware cause.

Memory management and Page fault in non paged area both point at the ram, but may be hdd or CPU as well.

Yes i built the pc myself..im pretty sure the cpu and the mobo pins are all good..they shouldnt be working in the first few days if there were damaged pins. I also ran intel processor diagnostic tool and cpu passed all tests. My bios has not been updated as a result of my fear of bricking the mobo. I've only been able to run memtest for 2 passes but hopefully it is the ram. I've already ordered new ram and hopefully that would be the fix to the problems.
I ran samsung magician on my ssd and ssd health is good, my 4tb hdd should also be fine seeing as i only installed the os there once just to make sure that the ssd doesnt have any problems..

if the ram doesn't solve it, i would update BIOS like I suggested. Asus bios have a tool built into bios that allows you to update them. BIOS updating has come a long way since i started and provided you use the right file, is normally pretty safe.

Just an update on the current issue:
Windows for some reason updated on its own, and now the bsods have prevented me from entering windows..sometimes it would let me enter my password in the login screen, but it would go into another kind of bsod (black screen of death). If it restarts now, it always goes into a blue screen of death before the login screen or it would go into black screen of death after login screen appears or aftr i enter my password.
I am hoping it really is the ram..
