Hi! so usually i browse this site for help but never asked and i could not find the answer to this one.

So! i have a formula V mb with a samsung 250gb hard drive.

the pc have worked for the last 3 years no issue. i tried booting it today but got a missing bootmgr error. i went into bios and could not find my SSD there.

i started googling tried stuff like removing all other media's ( all connected usb's etc ) and running win 10 startup repair. with no help.

weird thing is once i used F8 to open boot options my ssd was there. so i booted from the ssd and it works fine again. but once i restart i get the same msg and i cant find the ssd in bios.

so everytime i want to start it i have to go to boot options and select it from there manually.

hope anyone here got any clues.

1. First of all your Samsung 250 GB drive is an SSD, right? It's not a "hard drive", right?

2. Presumably the Samsung SSD is your boot drive. You say it's been working fine for the past three years with no issues. So do you have ANY clue at all why you're experiencing this failure to boot problem? Had you made any recent major changes in your system that might have triggered this problem?

3. What's the OS you're working with? (ALWAYS indicate the OS when you raise a problem of this sort).

4. Is the boot drive the ONLY drive installed in the system or are you working with other secondary drives?

5. At those times you've been able to boot to the Samsung, have you tested the drive with the Samsung Magician program just to ensure...

6. It might help if you submit a screenshot of Disk Management when you're able to boot the system.
