Hi guys, I just replace my processor from Athlon x2 260 3.2ghz to FX6300 but now my CPU having overheat. My Fps in Dota is working fine in 100++for but will drop to 20-30fps for few second. I did check my temperature in core temp , maximum 80 celcius! Any idea to fix this? Here's my PC spec.

Amd fx6300 3.5ghz
8gb ddr3 ram
M5a78l m-lx3
1tb hdd
Gtx750ti 2gb

I wonder how my CPU will overheat since I didn't overclock my pc. Guys do u have solution for this problem?
Is it cooler cpu problem because I didn't change it and I still using the Athlon CPU cooler?
Please help me ;(

Let me be honest with you, I just built a new system, and ditched the exact board you have. That board is not only cheap, but has awful voltage regulators which cause CPU instability and throttling on FX processors.

You can expect high temps as my machine was called the toaster, you can also expect poor performance. Solution? get a better board. That is only my opinion, having owned it.

Definitely do not even attempt overclocking with that board. Disable turbo core as well. That board cannot handle it, and the life will shorten quickly causing more instability. In the bios disable Q-fan function, as well as cool and quiet for maximum CPU fan speed.

It is hard to say, but you might be okay as long as you're not overclocking or using turbo core, because the stock cooler that comes with an FX is nothing amazing. Make sure your thermal compound is applied correctly. Not too much, not too little.
