USBs no longer work

So, last night I left my computer running overnight to work on some things, nothing unusual, nothing I haven't done before. This morning I shut it down, and later when I brought it back up, none of the usb ports seem to work. Even the BIOS tells me no keyboard was detected. I've tried all the ports on the motherboard and the front header, the keyboard doesn't work in any of them, but they happily charge my phone. The motherboard is a STRIX Z270E I purchased in late January, that hasn't given me issue thus far. I've already tried resetting the cmos, leaving the computer unplugged and pushing the power button, as well as trying to boot without the cmos battery in, still no keyboard detected, It isn't the keyboard, as it works fine on another computer.

You said earlier that "I have also found that the usb 3.1 port works, but none of the usb 3 or 2 ones do." My guess is that the USB ports that do work are controlled by the Z270 chipset, but the USB ports that don't work are controlled by the add-on ASMedia chip. Why that is, i don't know, but that is my guess. Maybe someone else in the forum has an idea.

The computer will boot into windows, but no usb devices work. I can get in with remote access, and in device manager under the usbs section, usb xHCI compliant host controller has a yellow warning flag, and has the error:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

I have tried uninstalling this device and restarting the computer multiple times with no change.

I have also found that the usb 3.1 port works, but none of the usb 3 or 2 ones do.

Also, when I shut the computer down now, it doesn't actually power off, the fans keep spinning, and the lights are still on, thought the screen is blank, and it won't respond to pings, even 5 or 10 minutes later, it still hasn't changed. This problem only started when the usb problem developed.

When you saw the yellow warning did you update the driver by right clicking on the problem device and choosing "Update driver software"?

In your motherboards UEFI bios under "Advanced\Onboard Devices Configuration" you have several options related to USB devices, look them over [page 46 in your manual]. The USB ports on your motherboard are controlled by both the Intel z270 chipset, and an add-on ASMedia controller chip. You may need to configure the USB ports on your motherboard because of this.

It's possible your computer shut down overnight without you knowing it [possibly a brief power outage] and as a result your BIOS setting were changed. I can't say for sure.
