Hello community,
first of all, I don't know whether this is considered a normal behaviour or not, and reinstall of audio drivers didn't solve it.
My mobo is Z170-P with integrated Realtek® ALC887 audio. Recently I've been getting cracks from my speakers. They tend to appear in higher CPU load (normally in videos/music, more frequently in games)/CPU spikes but it's not a rule. Speakers behave the same when plugged to rear 3,5mm and front on-case 3,5mm. Different speakers (earphones) behave the same when connected.
When I record the sound using Audacity (and play the record using different audio device, f.e. USB headphones), the cracks aren't in the same place as I first heard them real-time, but there are several cracks with different timings (and with constant timings within the record).
And, finally, when I play/listen to music/whatever using my USB headphones (which have their own audio card) I don't hear any cracks at all.
Is it normal? Should I buy a separated audio card? I've been using my current computer for 2 years.
Thanks in advance
edit1: It happened +- after I OC'ed my RAM modules, could this setting damage the CPU/audio?
edit2: When watching the videos (no matter the website) audio gets desync'ed forwards or backwards after several minutes; in that case I have to reload the website.
