So me and my brother are into gaming and we don't have an xbox one, unlike a lot of our friends, I have already built a pc and am about to upgrade it to ryzen 3, but the question is, should I build my brother a PC and get him a monitor, keyboard and mouse around 500 or most likely less, or should we buy the new xbox one x? We do want to play together and are aware that it's an additional $120 for both of us to play online for 1 year and that not every game supports split-screen, and we are taking that into consideration. Thanks guys!

The X Box One X is a good deal for the hardware that you get, but you will spend more for games and fees in the long run.

A PC is more flexible and you and your brother can play together.
Nothing is more fun than hearing someone in another room say 'You got me! I'm coming for you now.'

There are a lot of good PC game sales and because you will probably be building an entry level system, you will be able to play tons of games that are a few years old but still awesome. Also you can do homework and other stuff like internet more easily on a PC and you can gradually update it when you save more money. I built my $2,000 PC $200 at a time.
