Extremely Low FPS on GTX 1070 and 6700k

Lately I've been getting extremely low FPS when playing games. On Rust I've been getting 10-12 fps when I usually get around 80, and on Skyrim, I tend to get around 30-40 fps, when its usually topped at 60. I've tried doing a virus scan, my temps seem fine, and I disabled the X-Box game mode in Windows 10, but there has not been a change. My computer updated to the latest Windows 10 update and was wondering if that had anything to do with it. If anyone could suggest any solutions, that'd be great. Thanks guys.

Have you reinstalled your GPU drivers?

Download a monitor like MSI Afterburner, or even just HW Monitor and check your CPU and GPU useage while gaming.

Yeah ok, pretty sure that's the problem. GPU is being used 100% while CPU is around 10%.

That is some bizzare activity. So did you try to reinstall the GPU drivers first?

Maybe Windows update installed something over it. Glad it worked out.
