Hello Community! :wahoo:
I'd like to start by saying some of my specs, this is a prebuilt Asus gaming laptop so most of it is already online.
Nvidia Geforce 960m
Intel i7 processor
Intel graphics 4600
Windows 10--(updated from windows 8.1)

I got a checkup for my laptop recently (month or two ago) and that seemed to help for a bit, he said I had a corrupt hard-drive. A one terabyte liquid state drive I believe. It was replaced by a single 500 gig solid state drive. The problems began in January if I recall correctly, but I may not have noticed due to my interests at the time were non-demanding games. As I have now begun playing games like overwatch and PUBG I have noticed a severe drop in FPS from previous times, around 20-30 fps if its a good day. Not fun right? So I have noticed that my performance monitor from advanced system care and task manager have my usages at around 30-50% during these sessions. My laptop has a soldered GPU so I can't replace that as far as I believe. My only guesses on the matter are that my CPU is dying or something is getting bottlenecked, or an incompatibility in software etc. Anyone more knowledgeable on the matter would be appreciated if they respond to my plea for help.
Thank you!
-Anton
P.S. If any more specs are required please ask and I will do my best to supply you with them. :)

My first checks would be: Windows power settings- set to maximum performance. Laptops might be set to some kind of battery conserving mode, not good if you're gaming. Speaking of power, game when connected to AC power if possible, laptops sometimes run slower when using battery power.

Check your CPU usage while just idling on your desktop. It should be low, very low. You don't want anything running in the background, sucking up resources, when you play a game. Ideally, your CPU usage should be close to zero before you start your game.

Temperatures are a big deal. Your laptop will slow down if it starts to heat up too much. There are programs, like MSI Afterburner, that will display your CPU and GPU temps as you play. How high do they get? Clockspeeds might also be reduced if heat is an issue. Are your CPU and GPU speeds as high as they are rated for while you run your games?

Hey, Thanks for responding so quick. I got afterburner, but I'm not really sure what I'm looking. While playing my GPU levels out at around 900 MHz, and my second go at it leveled at 405 MHz and then 600-700 MHz. My memory caps at around 800 the whole time. Idling on the desktop does have almost 0 CPU usage. Idling on my desktop doesn't have any MHz in either category. Really hoping this helps.
