Wolfenstein The New Colossus keeps crashing

Just installed wolfenstein 2 the new colossus and the game wouldn't launch at all due to a 'driver too old' . the game required amd 17.10.2. Radeon settings showed a 'recommended' update 17.11.1 and an 'optional' update to 17.11.2, so I installed the recommended. Now the game launches but crashes during intro where i spose to kill a dog. How can i get the game to play now? Is it still a driver issue or something else? thanks

Best go to steam forum discussions of the game and go through the pinned topics relating to work arounds. I've got the game myself and look through there often, the problem youre having is wide spread. Best chance of working this out is there.
