Does mobo accept RAM at speed not listed on specifications?

The ASUS RAMPAGE VI EXTREME's specs have this under memory:
3600(O.C.)/4133(O.C.)/4200(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3333(O.C.)/2133/3733(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/4000(O.C.)/3300(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/3866(O.C.) MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory

Yet the QVL for this mobo has a bunch of extra speeds like 3466, 3733, 3800, etc that arent on the specifications.
So does that mean i can use a speed like 3466, even though its not on the specs?
What about RAM sets that arent on the QVL, but have a speed like 3466?

I dont think you read what i asked.
Im not asking if something not on the QVL will work. Im asking if something not in the specifications, but IN the qvl will work

with motherboards and cpu. there two speeds that you have to look at the stock speed and over clock speed. the stock speed is what the intel or amd cpu max default cpu memory contoller is rated for. (ie 2400 speed). with your mb asus put on the box as a selling tool that it over clock able to those speeds. not all memory and mb will run at max speed. as posted before the mb vendor takes a sample of ram to put on the qal list.

So assuming compatibility with my CPU, would 3466 speed RAM work with this mobo?
