I need your help to find a Graphics card for an ASRock 970M Pro3 Mobo with an AMD FX 6300 CPU. I bought a Thermaltake case in order to build a new PC almost a year ago. A month later I bought the ASROCK 970M Pro3 MOBO. After I bought the MOBO, I also bought a Socket 3 Six Core AMD FX Cpu. A month later I also bought 2 x 4GB DDR3 RAM sticks. Over a month ago, I bought an ASUS Graphics card that does not work with the ASROCK MOBO, so I found out today, 5 days after I could have returned it for a refund! So, before I waste anymore $ from my meager budget, I would like to ask for your advice to find a compatible Graphics card that I could install in this new build. I truly appreciate your advices! P.S. While I searched Google to find a compatible Graphics card, I saw many different sites with compatibility charts and PC building advice that really did not answer my question! My budget for a new Graphics card can be as much as $60.00 Dollars, +$10.00 Dollars if needed. Thank you for your advices! Regards, Steve Horvath

But overall CrossFireX is when you have 2 cards etc to work together and provide more power overall same applies to Nvidia SLI besides that SLI only applies to nvidia cards just like how crossfire only applies to AMD Cards .

in conclusion crossfire and sli is when you have more than one card working together trying to prove more power e.g FPS in game etc .

I wouldnt really go for SLI or Crossfire with an FX 6300 but thats your choice and it often is more power consuming and expensive .

if i were in your position i would aim to get an 1050ti minimum or 960 and if your budget is currently 70 dollars i would save up...

you wont really be able to find something amazing/new for around 60 dollar , But your Motherboard would probably be compatible with many of the newer cards and i dont see what issue you had to be fair with the gpu you bought last month , your mobo has 2x pci-e 16x slots meaning 16x GPUs (all new ones use) are more than capable of being used on the motherboard , make sure your case can fit the GPU your interested in though
i would recommend personally
to get an Pre owned
Nvidia 750Ti
RX 460/550 Preowned
R7 260X
gt 1030
if you need any more recommendations or help feel free to contact me.
and all the GPUs i listed above do not need an power connector besides possibly the R7 260x

Hi! Thank you for your list of GPUs. The MOBO manual reads as follows: Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX and CrossFireX. Would this conflict with the list you gave me, or what is the difference between the AMD Quad CrossFireX and the listed GPUs?
