Hello!
I need your help to find a Graphics card for an ASRock 970M Pro3 Mobo with an AMD FX 6300 CPU. I bought a Thermaltake case in order to build a new PC almost a year ago. I have been buying components piece by piece as I can afford them in order to build a new PC. After I bought the MOBO, I also bought a Socket 3 Six Core AMD FX 6300 Cpu. Over a month ago, I bought an ASUS Graphics card that does not work with the ASROCK MOBO, so I found out today, 5 days after I could have returned it for a refund! So, before I waste anymore $ from my meager budget, I would like to ask for your advice on a compatible Graphics card that I could install in this new build. I appreciate your advice and feedback! P.S. This is the PC I wrote and asked for your advice about two weeks ago or so that didn't have any display. I also searched Google to find a compatible Graphics card; I saw many different sites with compatibility charts and PC building advice that really did not answer any of my questions! My budget for a new Graphics card can be as much as $60.00 Dollars, +$10.00 Dollars if needed.
Thank you for your advices!
Best Regards, Steve Horvath

Hello!
You answered my question with a question about the UEFI. I don't know; I cannot tell.
However, you did still did not answer my original question.
Thank You for your help!
Sincerely, Steve

I need to know your psu (modelname and wattage) before I can start recommending things.

Also what graphics card is not working atm?

Newer Nvidia cards may require the motherboard to be in UEFI bios mode. Some motherboards may have two modes, UEFI and 'legacy' bios mode. It's possible your motherboard is in legacy bios mode and that's why the other card won't work. Maybe if you switched modes then the card would work.

One way to check is to boot into your motherboard bios. If you hold the 'del' key down when you power on the computer, that's a common way to boot into the bios. If you see a fancy looking graphical interface, you are in UEFI mode. If you see a text heavy old fashioned looking interface, you are in legacy mode.

Hi! Yes, the MOBO has 32Mb AMI UEFI Legal BIOS with GUI support, supports plug and play, and SMBIOS 2.3.1 support.
For video, it supports AMD Quad CrossfireX and CrossfireX.

The PSU is Corsair CX 550M, and the video card is an ASUS CCMP HD6450 1GBD3 LP SLNT P card, though the MOBO instruction support reads AMD Quad CrossFireX and CrossFireX. I hope this helps! Thank you! Steve

I bought the ASUS graphics card from a computer store off the shelf; In addition, I also tested it in my working other Desktop PC, and it worked fine, so I know the graphics is functional.
