Hello!

I have a laptop here that was giving me a bunch of trouble. It is an ASUS X555DG and after upgrading to windows 10 it kept boot-looping. I narrowed it down to an issue with the graphics driver.
The system crashed every time I tried to install any sort of graphics driver. Therefore I told windows not to automatically update drivers and the crash-loop stopped because it wasn't continuously trying to install one.
However, I did want to have some sort of driver for the graphics card, so i googled around and saw that a few people had fixed similar issues by updating their bios. Therefore, I checked and found out that I was using driver Version 206 and the latest Windows 10 64bit bios on ASUS' website for the X555DG was version 602.
I downloaded the file, unzipped it, put it on a flash drive and went into the bios. From there, I started the built-in "ASUSTeK Easy Flash Utility", selected the appropriate file from the USB drive and hit enter. Everything went fine up until the very end, but it seems to be stuck.
After successfully "erasing" and "programming", the utility is now frozen with this message:

"Finish Verifying
After update the BIOS, the system will be rebooted.
100%"

(below this i have a completely full progress bar)

My question is: What now?
It has been in this state for over 2 hours but I am very hesitant to mess with it because I know that a failed BIOS flash can quite literally be the end of this laptop. Have any of you had similar issues with ASUS BIOS flashing software. Any ideas?

TL;DR:
I'm trying to flash my bios with a newer version downloaded from the manufacturer's website but the built-in BIOS flashing utility has been stuck at 100% for over 2 hours.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance,

Since the progress bar has reached 100% i think you are probably safe, but i can't be 100% sure. If it took 5 minutes to reach 100% and now it's been sitting idle for 2 hours, then like it or not, you probably have no option other than restart the machine and see what happens. I don't know what else for you to do other than cross your fingers.

Yep, I bit the bullet, restarted it and it works. Apparently it had successfully flashed the bios and just froze when it was about to reboot on its own. Thanks for the replies guys!
