I want to install a USB 3.0 PCI-e expansion card on my PC (HP Compaq 8200 Elite CMT). The USB 3.0 cards I have, both have the old 4-pin Molex connectors for a (5v??) power supply. My PSU has no Molex connectors and only one spare SATA power connector, which I'm going to need for a SSD. What is the best way to supply power to the female molex socket on the USB 3.0 card? Should I use a power splitter such as this?:
