Upgrading system with these new components

Solution
1 & 2) The cooler should fit the case just fine. I'm not sure it will really allow OCing however. The 7700 runs a bit toasty, but you'll be fine with the setup you listed at stock.

3) The PSU is older, but it's ok for that system. Due to the chip and cooler you won't be OCing anyways so you should be good to use that PSU.

4) Different pastes like these can make a difference of maybe 5C or so, but your technique will matter more. If the cooler comes with TIM just use it. AS5 is good, but aged by now. The cooler comes with good stuff, so don't worry about buying better.

5) You are going to ask which is better between a B250 and a Z270? Really?

Hope the deals are good because you prob should be considering new 8 series CPUs.

1. find the spec of the zalman. If not you should be able to find another cheap case that fits it.
2. Consult the forums regarding overclocking. Push till you get enough at decent temps.
3. 520 seasonic is fine.
4. Use Noctuas included paste. It comes in an easy to use syringe.
5. Dont spend more on a mobo than you need to. That said, you need a Z chipset mobo to overclock.

6. The first thing youll want to upgrade is that GPU. Have a look on ebay for a used 1070
7. consider waiting for H370 mobos or the B variant to be released and get an 8400 or 8700.
