do I need a bios update for i5 4690k. I installed it but get no display. bios version F5, mobo is Gigabyte - GA-Z87X-UD4H ATX LGA1150

I'd go with F10b.. that's from 2014 so if there was a major problem with the Beta it would have been removed by now. Also, it said it applies to the "K" series so it may be beneficial to you (I would guess it has to do with overclocking settings).

do I need to update to F9 or 10b? as I went to go check on gigabytes website 10b is beta bios.
