Hello everyone,

Until today, my custom built PC has been working fine, a few issues here and there but mostly fine since I built it in 2013.

Today however, all hell broke loose. At first, it rebooted once while I was playing. Didn't pay much attention to it. After an hour or so it happened again and this time it kept happening past the BIOS screen. Eventually it worked again.

But soon the same thing happened again. Now, I'm left with a computer than boots sometimes to the BIOS screen, others to the windows loading screen, sometimes to desktop before it gets into the bootloop. And I'm completely out of ideas.

My setup:
MB: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
PSU: CX600M
GPU: R9 390 Nitro 8GB
RAM: Ballistix Tactical 4GBx4
i5-4670K

Any ideas? Thank you for your time.

Alright well..
I have no idea what that is honestly, there are a million possibilities. Its a windows computer.
First off... get memtest86 on a thumb drive, and let that run as long as you can bring up the boot menu at startup. See if it passes for an hour.
If that is fine, try a different video card... also does your mobo take a speaker? their cheap and very handy to tell you what is happening. A lot of mobos have debug LEDs now days though.

Strange my friends computer would not get passed bios screen all the sudden... I could not even get into the bios... I tried everything but randomly a different hard drive fixed everything! Which makes no sense why it would stop you from getting into the setup... but that is a thought. Hard...

If those things fail... try a different video card, or try using your on board graphics if you have it with intel...

Could be your power supply crapping out... the will do that reset or black screen thing when they are dying.

Motherboard could be going to... they will do all kinds of flaky stuff...
Had a mobo that worked fine... but it just would not install windows at a fair speed.... would take hours. Tried every other component cept CPU and ram... popped those into a new mobo and windows installed real fast. You just have to start going through components until something helps.

If you get back into windows after a crash, see what event viewer said about it before the un expected shut down error.
