How to maximize my gaming performance?

My gtx 1070 is running 40-45fps and my gpu temp is at 50-55 degrees c on ultra setting on many games like gta v. I feel like im not using my card to its full potential. What do i do?


Cpu: intel core i7 7700k
Ram: 16gb ddr4 3200
Power supply: corsair cs550m
2tb western digital re4
120gb Sk hynix ssd
Motherboard: Asrock z270 killer sli/ac
Graphics: evga gtx 1070 ftw
Cooler master hyper 212 evo

My gpu is running at 40 deg and my cpu is at 55~60 idle
Gpu at 55 deg on load
And cpu at 80

You can try updating the GPU driver.
Just uninstall drivers with DDU on safe mode. (display driver uninstaller.)
https://www.wagnardsoft.com/

And then, clean install the latest Nvidia driver.
Always update GPU driver with this way. If you don't install newer drivers with this method, you'll have problems like yours.
 


What cooler do you have on that 7700k? cpu idle at 55-60*c with load at 80 your cpu is throttling. Stock 7700k's are know to run supper hot with most solutions being extreme cooling or delidding them.

Also you must handle the CPU temperature problem. I didn't see it shortly before. :)

Wait. I meant 40 degrees idle for my gpu and cpu
and 50 on load for my gpu sorry
