HIGH CPU usage while gaming! up to 70% while my GPU is at only 30%

I have a Strix 1080TI OC'd to 1987MHz with no issues. I have a I-7 4790k OC'd to 4.7kMHZ with no issues. My temps for both don't go over 55 Celsius under 100% load. When gaming my CPU will take a LARGE majority of the usage up to around 65-70% while my GPU is sitting at around 30%. This is happening for all my games not just the one used to test. Is this normal or should my GPU be using more? TaskManager

Actually both the CPU and GPu are used wequally, but when you are switching to task manager, the game rendering stops and then the GPU usage drops down. This is why you are seeing 30% usage of GPU. The usage goes up when you return to the game.

Try playing a game on a minimized window mode, with both the game and the task manager visible. Then you ll see the actual GPU usage.
