can't install intel drtiver !

whenever i try to install intel me driver i get '"this setup program ended prematurely because of the following error this platform is not supported"

my motherboard is msi z270 gaming pro carbon

Latest is 11.7.0.1002. Use the one on the motherboard page: http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/intel_me_kbl.zip
Note that if you have Win 7, you have to install the hotfix from Microsoft hot fix directory, then install IME from Intel ME driver directory.

Lesson to be learned - - in future, go to the motherboard manufacturer's website for the correct drivers related to your motherboard (where you'll also see important info and prerequisites if there are any).

You won't necessarily get the correct motherboard-related drivers if you download them from elsewhere.
