Hey there,

It all depends on your budget. I'm sorry I might be away for a while and might not be able to reply back.

I suggest you open another thread and ask about upgrading to a new platform and everyone can see and answer.

In the new thread please specify what you will use the system for and your budget.

That board has a PCIE 2 X16 and it should work. But new generation Nvidia cards require UEFI BIOSes and I'm not sure GTX 1050 would work on this board.

Some boards have better compatibility due to BIOS update but according to Intel website latest BIOS update for this motherboard dates
back to 2010. There was no Nvidia series 10 back then and it's probably not going to support these cards.

Apart from all this other really limiting factor on that GPU would be the DDR2 RAM (how much?) and especially the CPU.

You can get a GT 730 maybe. Not comparable to GTX 1050 but they would probably work. Or if an option you can upgrade to a relevant platform.
