7700k a very hot chip?

my current CPU is 6600k
the only thing pulling me back from buying the 7700k are the temps i see ppl talking about and deliding there CPU for(which i will never consider doing)
i have a dark rock 3 cooler which cools almost as good as a dark rock pro 3

what do you guys think can i maintain good temps with this chip? im not a crazy overclocker i always go for achievable, stable, good temps overclock.

Very hot? Nah...

It's hot indeed, but nothing abnormally crazy.
With a decent air cooler you should be able to handle it pretty fine, since you stated you're not interested in heavy OC, then you're doubly okay.

Keep the case clean and with a nice airflow and no problem will likely come on your way.

and yes im not interested in heavy OC but more is always better what i meant is i always look for the nice spot with my overclocks you think i might reach lets say 4,8? with beautiful air flow and this cooler?
maybe if im lucky ill get the 5 ghz easy?
