My cpu is a i7 2600
My gpu is 1050 ti
Ram 8 gb of ddr3

I can’t run many games without lagging and getting stuttering

There’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to game at 1080p with midrange graphics settings on that PC. It’s either your temps are too high and it’s throttling or your HDD is failing and not sending data fast enough. Try opening a game in windowed mode and pull up task manager. See how much disk usage you have. Check to see what programs are running in the background if the disk usage is pinned at 100%

It can cause whats known as thermal throttling which essentially lowers the performance of the system to avoid damage so yes it can drop your FPS. Use HWmonitor and check the max temp on the CPU & GPU while gaming.

Even with the lowest settings if your temps are going too high it will still slow down so it does not burn itself up. You need to install HWmonitor and run a game and see what your cpu and gpu temperatures are
